Orlaith hits a high note to win coveted accolade two years in a row

TALENTED young Killorglin pianist Orlaith O'Sullivan has once again struck a chord with her audience by winning the James Gleeson Memorial Trophy for the second year in a row.
Orlaith was awarded the accolade at this year’s Killarney Rotary Young Musician of The Year competition.
The trophy, which was presented to Orlaith on Wednesday at The Malton by James’s wife, Grace, is for the student deemed by the adjudicators to be the most promising and up-and-coming musician in the competition.
Orlaith, 14, treated the members of Killarney Rotary Club to a beautiful performance on Wednesday. "It will come as no surprise to anyone who has heard Orlaith play that she has become a back-to-back winner," said Killarney Rotary President Angela O'Connor.
