Fundraiser for Tiernan a great success
A
A large crowd attended the fundraiser for Tiernan Dineen in the Torc Hotel Saturday night.
11-year-old Tiernan suffers from spina bifida and is a wheelchair user. His room in his house is upstairs and he can no longer crawl up and down the stairs.
Tiernan has been very sick for the past six months and has had five surgeries in this time. He has been left with no other option than to sleep in the sitting room.
The Dineen family are currently raising funds to build a suitable room downstairs, and last week’s event will be of great help towards this goal.
Tiernan is the grandson of popular local man Batty O’Sullivan and many of his family and friends were there on the night.
Young Tiernan was also in attendance and was the man of the hour. In great spirits, with a smile on his face and a thumbs-up for everyone, he definitely inherited his grandfather's personality
