Man charged in relation to stolen cash and jewellery

A MAN has been charged in relation to property stolen during a spate of burglaries in Killarney and surrounding areas in December 2012.
William Cawley appeared at Midleton District Court on Thursday evening last, charged with possession of stolen property comprised of cash and jewellery with an approximate value of €30,000.
The 33-year-old had been extradited from the UK on foot of a European Arrest Warrant which was obtained by detectives from Killarney who have been investigating the matter for a number of years.
The property was stolen during the course of a spate of burglaries in Killarney and surrounding areas in early December 2012.
William Cawley was remanded in custody to Mallow District Court on Tuesday, March 21.
