Batten down the hatches as Storm Doris is on the way

BRACE yourself for some wintry conditions as a weather warning is in place for most of the country until tomorrow at 11am.
Storm Doris is on its way from the Atlantic and will bring severe winds tonight and into tomorrow morning, reaching gale force along western and southern coasts. A yellow “be aware” alert for severe winds is in place from midnight on Wednesday until midday on Thursday.
Temperatures overnight will fall to between 1 to 5 degrees Celsius, according to Met Éireann.
Tomorrow is set to be a bright but cold day, with sunny spells and scattered showers, some wintry, according to the national wither forecasting service.
Thursday morning will be very windy, with strong to gale force northwesterly winds but the winds will slowly moderate as the day progresses.
Maximum temperatures will reach only 6 to 9 Celsius but it will seem even colder due to wind chill.
Met Éireann predicts very changeable and unsettled weather for the rest of the week and throughout next week also.
