Gardaí release CCTV footage in Killarney jewellery heist probe
U
USING CCTV footage, Gardaí have made a renewed appeal for information that could help an investigation into the theft of an estimated €3,000 worth of jewellery from a business in Killarney town centre.
The footage was released in a televised appeal in Crime Call on RTÉ One on Monday evening in a bid to identify the two people wanted for questioning in relation to the August 25 theft.
Gardaí have released CCTV footage of a man and a woman. It is believed from the footage that a tray of Claddagh rings was lifted from the counter and concealed before being taken from the shop.
Gardaí have not excluded the possibility that those responsible may have since left the country. “The two people in the CCTV footage were not concerned about concealing their identity,” Superintendent Flor Murphy told Killarney Advertiser.
Gardaí have appealed to anybody who can help in the investigation to contact them on 064-6631222.
