Businesses to champion Kerry as one of top choices in Ireland
W
WE REPORTED in the past fortnight how 14 of Kerry’s largest industries together with 10 sponsors have collaborated on a major road signage campaign to encourage visitors and emigrants to come live and work in Kerry.
The collaboration involves Kerry County Council, IDA and Enterprise Ireland and organisations such as the GAA and Kerry District League and highlights a major Kerry Expo which will take place in the INEC Killarney on April 9.
The signage points to over 1,000 job vacancies in the county, and so “depicts the reality of that what lies behind the Kingdom’s magical scenery”, according to campaign and expo organiser Liz Maher. “The campaign references some of Kerry’s major employers who are either currently recruiting or will be recruiting in in the near future,” said Ms Maher. “ Some of these job vacancies will be showcased at the Kerry EXPO in the INEC Killarney on April 9.”
Last year the Kerry EXPO showcased 120 businesses throughout the county. “The exhibition serves as a platform for all businesses operating within the Kerry region to promote their goods, services and products to the general public,” added Ms Maher.
Businesses interested in exhibiting should email Kerryexpo@gmail.com or register their interest in receiving an exhibitor application pack via the Kerry Local enterprise office.
