Tragedy in Currow as man dies in fall
A
A MAN has died after an accident in Currow. The man, who was in his mid-30s, fell from a roof at 11.30am today on a building in Parknamallogue, about half a mile from Currow.
The man, from Lyre, was taken to University Hospital Kerry by ambulance but was pronounced dead on arrival.
Gardaí and the Health and Safety Authority have begun investigations into the circumstances of the man's death.
The community of Currow has been plunged into mourning by the news of the popular young man’s death. This is the second fatal accident in as many months in the area. In mid-November, Currow was numbed by sadness following the loss of Shane Foley, 43, in a farming-related accident.
