Motorists urged to take care following heavy snowfalls and icy conditions

KERRY COUNTY COUNCIL is asking motorists to avoid the Conor Pass in west Kerry following heavy snowfalls and icy conditions.
There has been snow at the county bounds on the N22 and driving conditions there are poor.
In all parts of the county, motorists are asked to drive with care and allow plenty of time for journeys this evening and throughout Friday.
Kerry County Council crews are salting main routes however motorists should always exercise caution and drive with care.
The council is monitoring the situation closely and will provide updates on social media and through the media generally.
