Rugby club lights up for historic development
I
IF YOU were driving past Killarney Rugby Club’s grounds at Aghadoe over the festive season you will have noticed the lights at the pitches are now in action.
This is an historic development for the club, which will allow for evening training throughout the winter. The funds for the lights were raised through the IRFU Your Club, Your Community draw. “It’s truly great to see the training pitch lit up and to see funds raised through our ‘Your Club Your Country’ draw making such a difference,” said club PRO Liam Murphy.
“This is a huge milestone in the development of the club. A huge thanks must go to Ger Moynihan and Paul Sheahan for their hard wok in seeing this through. The funds raised from the IRFU grand draw 'Your Club, Your Community' has helped Killarney RFC realise this dream and now squads can train in the winter evenings at Aghadoe. Well done, all!”
