Talented Valerie in the frame for book-signing
Q
QUEUES were forming throughout the day at Eason Killarney as readers of all ages clamoured to meet popular Killarney photographer Valerie O’Sullivan on Saturday.
Talented Valerie was signing copies of her latest book The MacGillycuddy's Reeks: People and Places of Ireland’s Highest Mountain Range. Exactly a week before, Valerie unveiled the exciting publication at the launch in Kate Kearney’s Cottage.
A keen mountaineer as well as an award-winning snapper, Valerie has immortalised the faces and places of Ireland’s highest mountain range in the book.
A chapter is also dedicated to the Kerry Mountain Rescue Team, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary, and Valerie will be donating a sizeable portion of the proceeds of this book to the team.
Valerie O'Sullivan photographed with Eason staff members Tanya O'Shea, Sarah Hunt, Alan Murphy, Frances Neeson and Kerry Breen.
