Young rally drivers to support Anthony O’Carroll Fundraiser

Members of the Killarney and District Motor Club’s KDMC2 youth club will be making a special appearance at the Anthony O’Carroll fundraiser in Ballyduff on Sunday.
The KDMC2 Junior 1000 rally team will be represented by seven cars, including three new crews joining the roster for the 2025 season. The team is currently seeking both existing and new sponsors for the upcoming year.
The Anthony O’Carroll fundraiser is a three-day event aimed at raising funds for the injured motorcycle racer, who suffered serious injuries during the Southern 100 race on the Isle of Man in July.
The event will feature appearances from several prominent Irish road racers, including James and Liam Chawke.
KDMC2, which promotes rallying for 14- to 17-year-olds, will be participating in the family fun day element of the fundraiser on Sunday.
They will display their cars at the static show from 1pm in The Square Ballyduff and will participate in a questions and answers session in the Marquee at around 4pm Sunday.
Their presence will provide an opportunity for North Kerry residents to learn more about the sport and see how young people can get involved in rally driving.
