Transition Year students in St. Brigid’s participated in ‘Think Languages Day’

Organised by the Modern Foreign Language departments in the school, the day focused on the cultural and academic benefits of learning foreign languages.
Students took part in a wide variety of activities over the course of the day, including Zumba, film screenings, beginners' German, a workshop on Spanish music, Capoeira with Movement & Fitness (New Street) , a trip to Killarney's Argentinian restaurant, Tango and a presentation from Jean Conacher of the University of Limerick.
“The day was a fantastic success. Well done to the girls for taking part so wholeheartedly, and congratulations to all involved in organising this successful day.,” said organiser and teacher Ms Dineen.
