National Park plants for Tree Week

Staff from Killarney National Park planted 600, mainly native sessile Oak, Alder, Willow for National Tree Week 2025, which is scheduled from Sunday, March 9 to March 16.
The plants are located at the Port Road entrance to Knockreer Estate.
This annual event, organised by the Tree Council of Ireland in partnership with Coillte, celebrates the importance of trees and forests in fostering a sustainable future. The theme for 2025 is ‘Planting Trees, Growing Together.’
