‘Michael Collins – a musical drama’

Following on from the huge success of ‘A Musical Journey’ in March 2023 Killarney Musical Society are thrilled to announce that we will be staging ‘Michael Collins - a musical drama’ in the INEC Arena from March 5 to 7 next year.
This is a very special and moving piece of musical drama. The book, music and lyrics were written by the very talented Mr. Bryan Flynn who died at a very young age in 2014.
He took the story of the emergence of the Irish Nation and set it to music. Bryan brought the 1916 Easter Rising, the War of Independence and the Civil War to life while also telling a beautiful and moving love story.
It is a gripping and powerful drama of one man’s battle for peace that cost him his life and a story that has changed Irish history forever.
Killarney Musical Society has also announced that the director and choreographer will be Mr. Oliver Hurley and our musical director will be Mr. Michael Young.
There will be a taster and information evening on October 15.
Auditions will take place on October 22.
New members are always welcome – for more information contact killarneymusicalsociety@gmail.com
