Killarney Celtic Golf Classic a resounding success

The annual Killarney Celtic FC Golf Classic returned to Beaufort Golf Club on Saturday, last, and proved to be a resounding success.
With over 45 fourball teams participating, the day was filled with friendly competition and camaraderie. Despite an early morning start, golfers enjoyed ideal weather conditions and a beautifully maintained course.
The golf classic is the club's largest fundraiser of the year, and Killarney Celtic would like to express their gratitude to all those who participated, sponsored teams or tee boxes, and volunteered their time to make the event a success.
In a closely contested competition, Team Killarney Credit Union emerged victorious with a score of 100 points, winning on a back-nine countback.
Team O' Flynn Meats finished in second place with a score of 100 points and a back-nine score of 49, while Team Dromhall Hotel claimed third place with a score of 100 points and a last-six countback.
Adam Carey of Team Skoda won the longest drive competition, and Vincent O' Sullivan of Team Cork Hygiene took home the nearest-the-pin prize.
