Kilcummin National School Caring for Others

Pupils from the Kilcummin National School Students’ Council and Kilcummin National School Green School Committee presented a cheque for €234 to John Drummey, Kerry Mental Health Association, following a collection on Tie Day Friday.
Kilcummin National School participated in another fundraiser for Brú Columbanus, following more charity fundraising efforts on our Halloween Dress Up Day.
The school’s spectacular Spooky Sprint enabled us to share the proceeds with Kerry Stars Special Olympics Club, thanks to the marvellous work by the hardworking Parents’ Association.
During the month of December, the community has donated generously to the St. Vincent de Paul Christmas Hamper Food Appeal and handed over seven filled boxes to the charity.
Christmas efforts to spread cheer to others during this festive period will continue this month, when carol singers will entertain all at the Kilcummin Day Care Centre and at Our Lady of Lourdes Nursing Home.
