Blue Pool issue taken up at council level
N
Now it is refreshing to see the state of the Blue Pool taken up at council level, by former mayor of Killarney Niall Kelleher.
He has put a motion the council write to the NPWS management to arrange a meeting about issues in Killarney National Park and to also discuss the neglect of the Blue Pool Walkway.
The motion was passed and Cllr Kelleher says what is envisaged is quarterly meetings between the Killarney MD and the NPWS.
“We need to have a conversation about the Blue Pool and about a number of issues with the NPWS and we need a joint strategy,” Cllr Kelleher said.
Let’s see what happens, in a week in which one of the leading deer societies published a picture of 300 deer in one field of the National Park. 300!
