71-year-old local woman sets up new life coaching business

A Ballydowney lady is on a mission is to support women who are at a crossroads or in their lives and empower them on their journey towards personal growth to get a clearer vision of what they want to achieve.
Joan Murphy, 71, found herself in a very dark place in her life which was affecting her loved ones and the world around her.
“I was blaming the outside world for my unhappiness. One day I said to myself that there has to be an explanation of why I keep doing the same things over and over again, giving me these sad results,” she said.
This inspired her to start a new career and after taking an Advanced Practitioners Diploma in Coaching with Neuro Science course she is now a qualified life coach.
“I discovered I was 100% responsible for my life’s results. it was my negative thinking patterns that caused my unhappiness, frustration, feelings of blame, anger and guilt. Now in changing my way of thinking, I see myself, others and the whole world in a new light. I am again enjoying writing my poetry, short stories and painting,” she added.
